About Me

Welcome to my portfolio!

Stacey Lind

My name is Stacey Lind and I’m a Graphic/Web Designer based in Connecticut with over 15 years of experience in various digital project management and creative design roles.

My interest in Graphic Design and print media was sparked over 25 years ago in high school. I took graphics classes and learned beginner design layout software, how to screen print, use an offset printing press and do bindery work. These classes were my favorite and I excelled in them.

After getting my first job at 16 at a town grocery store and working there for a year, an opportunity opened at Prospect Printing, a local print shop, where I continued pursuing my passion for graphic design. One of the owners who was also the shop’s graphic designer became like a big brother/uncle to me. He was my mentor and taught me as much as he could about design software and how it leads to the end-to-end print production process. He also introduced me to some of the best Hard Rock ever and I was immediately drawn to it. This music remains in rotation on my playlists, and I think of the tight knit group that was more like a family whenever I hear these songs.

I continued working and growing my knowledge of the industry at the print shop for the remainder of high school and decided to continue my education in the Graphic Design field in college. I enrolled into the Graphic/Information Design Bachelor’ of Arts program at Central CT State University. During the senior year of my education at CCSU, I obtained an internship at a highly reputable design studio, Good Design.

After graduating, an employment opportunity became available at Aetna which, after a great deal of networking, led to a full-time role as the Aetna Website Coordinator. This morphed into an even more creative Digital Manager position with my team managing the Aetna.com website and other Aetna entity sites. After 15 successful years with Aetna, it was time for a change.

During my last year 2 years at Aetna, I met my love, soulmate and best friend, Aaron and we had a beautiful baby girl together. Work/life balance was more important to me than ever and a career change was on the horizon. An opportunity became available at ConnectICare on the website/portal team and I was extremely interested and qualified. I liked the idea of working for a smaller Health Insurance company, focused on care in the community and being closer to home (shorter & easier commute = more time with my baby girl) while remaining in a digital management role.

Thank you for visiting my portfolio and I hope you enjoy viewing my work!
